David Rubens

David Rubens is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in sustainable finance, humanitarian action, and banking supervision. Currently serving as the Communications Lead on Banking at the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI), David focuses on the Principles for Responsible Banking strategy and the roll-out of the PRB Academy. Previous roles include a sabbatical with Médecins Sans Frontières, where David participated in field missions addressing domestic and sexual violence, and serving as Communications Lead on Sustainable Finance with the European Commission, contributing to key regulatory launches in the EU banking sector. David has also held positions at the National Bank of Belgium, the International Monetary Fund, and ASCO, highlighting a diverse skill set in financial communication, research, and analysis.
