Irene

Irene (Hanrui) Ma is a research analyst at the United Nations Capital Development Fund, contributing strategic research and analytical support for investment portfolios. Additionally, Irene supports the Net Zero Banking Alliance at the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative, managing communications with over 140 global bank members on climate finance initiatives. Previous roles include research fellow at AVANGRID focusing on offshore wind projects, economist at Development Reimagined identifying Chinese climate investors, and graduate consultant at UNDP analyzing fundraising strategies. Irene's educational background includes a Master's in Public Administration from Cornell University and a Bachelor's in International Economics from Beijing Normal University. Irene also founded and directed the initiative Girls Can DIGI to enhance digital skills among female undergraduates in ICT.
