Kavita Sachwani

Kavita Sachwani is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in sustainable finance and public health. Currently, Kavita is involved with the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) as a key contributor to the implementation of the Principles for Responsible Banking, focusing on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reforms. Previously, at The World Bank, Kavita led initiatives in water resources management and sustainable finance in India. Kavita has held senior roles at the World Gold Council and Medi Assist India Pvt Ltd, where efforts were concentrated on mainstreaming gold as an asset class and reforming public health policy, respectively. Additional experience includes leadership positions at Fino Payments Bank Ltd, HDFC Standard Life Insurance, and HDFC Bank, along with a background in investment research from CRISIL. Kavita holds credentials as a Chartered Accountant and advanced diplomas in health policy and economics.
