Mel Peh currently serves as a Consultant at the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative, focusing on updating target-setting protocols in alignment with best practices and 2050 net-zero pathways. Previously, Mel worked as a Climate Risk Consultant at KKR, where solutions for climate risk and opportunities in the private credit investment process were developed. Mel also held the position of Graduate Consultant at the World Resources Institute, creating a framework to enhance project selection and diversity metrics for land restoration projects in Africa. Additional experiences include roles as a Student Research Assistant at the Center on Global Energy Policy and ESG Solutions at United Overseas Bank Limited, where Mel structured green financing deals and developed frameworks for sustainability. Mel began a career as an Equity Research Analyst at Blackhorse Asset Management, conducting fundamental research on listed equities. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia | SIPA and a degree in Business, Banking and Finance from Nanyang Technological University Singapore.
