UNESCO Co-Chair In Transforming Indigenous Knowledges Research Governance & Rematriation

Dr. Amy Parent, also known by the Nisga’a name Noxs Ts’aawit, is the Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Education & Governance at Simon Fraser University. They are an associate professor and the Co-Chair of the Indigenous Research Leadership Circle, collaborating with Canadian research councils. With a Ph.D. in Education from the University of British Columbia, Dr. Parent has dedicated their career to advancing Indigenous knowledge governance and educational justice. They recently took on the role of UNESCO Co-Chair in Transforming Indigenous Knowledges Research Governance & Rematriation.
