Mentor Open Education For A Better World Program at UNESCO

Joost Groot Kormelink is a seasoned professional in the field of education management, currently serving as Manager Open and Online Education at TU Delft since January 2017, and as Chair of the Quality Assurance Board for the Extension School at TU Delft since September 2021. In addition, Joost serves as a Mentor for the Open Education for a Better World Program at UNESCO since January 2020. With over two decades of experience at TU Delft, Joost has managed a portfolio of more than 25 MOOCs and several funded projects. Previous roles include Coordinator of the Human Research Ethics Committee and Project Manager for various educational initiatives. Prior to TU Delft, Joost held positions at EP-Nuffic and ICCO Cooperation, focusing on educational programs in Africa. Joost holds a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Economics and Development Economics from Wageningen University & Research.
