Katherine (Kat) Watson is a seasoned consultant and researcher with extensive experience in gender, health, and human rights policies. Currently serving as a Consultant Researcher at Girls Not Brides, Katherine is developing a synthesis of global research on CEFMU laws and their impact on girls' rights. As a Founding Member of The Torchlight Collective, Katherine collaborates with global consultants to drive human rights-based social change. Recent roles include Research Lead at UNESCO, leading a mixed methods study on national sexuality education outcomes, and various consultant positions at the World Health Organization, Women's Fund Asia, and the United Nations Population Fund, focusing on gender-based violence, adolescent health, and policy analysis in numerous countries. Katherine holds advanced degrees in Law and Global Politics from prestigious institutions, including BPP Law School and the London School of Economics.
