Laurence Gillois

Laurence Gillois has extensive experience in international development and relations, currently serving as Deputy Director and Director a.i. at UN Women since March 2010, where Gillois also held the role of Deputy Director for the Brussels Office and specialized in programs and partnerships. Prior to this, Gillois worked as a Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Adviser at DVV International from February 2007 to February 2010. Gillois began a career at the European Commission, serving from July 2001 to December 2006 as a Programme Specialist in EU External Relations and as a Political Adviser in the Delegation of the European Union to Indonesia and Timor Leste. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in International Law and Legal Studies from Universite Paris II Pantheon (1997-1998) and a Master's degree in Political Science and International Relations from Institut d'études politiques de Rennes (1993-1997).
