Maha Malik is a consultant at UNESCO in the Division for Peace and Sustainable Development, focusing on global citizenship and peace education since October 2022. Previously, Maha served as a GW UNESCO Fellow within the same division and worked as a project specialist at General Dynamics Information Technology from September 2018 to February 2023, contributing to the Office of Grant Administration for AmeriCorps. In academia, Maha held multiple research roles at The George Washington University, including as a student research specialist at the GW global education lab and a research assistant at the GW Climate and Health Institute, where notable publications include a descriptive analysis of climate action plans for urban health and equity. Additional experiences include a research fellowship at the Smithsonian Science Education Center and program support at the Society of Family Planning, alongside roles at Drexel University. Maha holds a Master of Arts in International Education from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Drexel University.
