Naomi Mnthali has extensive experience in education and health programming, currently serving as a Project Officer for the Education for Health and Wellbeing at UNESCO since May 2019, focusing on Comprehensive Sexuality Education in East and Southern Africa. Prior to this role, Naomi was a Senior Technical Program Director at the Education Development Center from 2009 to 2019, where responsibilities included implementing sexuality and HIV prevention education across five provinces and overseeing a team of Provincial Operations Managers. Naomi also served as the Country Coordinator for a program with the Botswana Ministry of Education and Skills Development and worked as a Principal Education Officer II at the same ministry, conducting workshops on various educational topics and engaging with national committees and donor-funded projects. Educational qualifications include two Master of Education degrees from the University of Botswana in Counselling and Human Services and Educational Evaluation and Research, earned in 2008 and 1995 respectively.
