Stig Arne Skjerven

Stig Arne Skjerven currently serves as a Senior Advisor at The Directorate for Higher Education and Skills since August 2024 and has held various significant roles within UNESCO since January 2022, including Elected President/Chair of the Bureau of the Global Recognition Convention and Member of the Strategic Advisory Group for UNESCO's Qualifications Passport for Refugees and Vulnerable Migrants. Notably, Skjerven was previously the Deputy Permanent Delegate to UNESCO at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has contributed to multiple initiatives within the UNHCR, focusing on tertiary education and refugee support.
