Claire Lewis

Claire Lewis has extensive experience in humanitarian advocacy and fundraising, currently serving as a member of the External Relations - Goodwill Ambassador Team at UNHCR since January 2015. Since August 2012, Claire has also been the founder of Forta Voca, a consultancy dedicated to connecting influential individuals with rights-based causes. Prior roles include Executive Director at The Circle of Women (2012-2014), where the focus was on empowering women to overcome poverty, and Global Ambassador Programme Manager at Oxfam from 1997 to 2012, where Claire was involved in campaigns and fundraising. Additional experience includes positions at Plan International UK, Friends of the Earth, and Oxfam dating back to 1990. Claire Lewis holds educational qualifications from the University of London, obtained between 1980 and 1991.
