Eric le Guen

Eric Le Guen is a seasoned security and safety professional with extensive experience in humanitarian contexts. As the Senior Security Policy Coordinator at UNHCR since February 2011, Eric has provided critical advisement across nine countries in the Central Africa and Great Lakes region. Previous roles include global safety and security advisor at the International Rescue Committee, where Eric developed safety frameworks for international operations, and regional security coordinator for NGOs in Afghanistan. Eric’s career also encompasses various security consultancy roles in Liberia and substantial military experience as an Army Officer. Eric holds a master's degree in Crises Analysis and Humanitarian Action from Université Savoie Mont Blanc.
