Jahangir Durrani

Jahangir Durrani is an experienced professional with a robust background in humanitarian operations and protection, currently serving as the Head of Office for UNHCR SO Gambella in Ethiopia since July 2019. Previously, Jahangir held positions as Head of Office in Aden, Yemen, and Representative in Tajikistan. From November 2014 to October 2018, Jahangir served as Senior Operations Manager and Head of Operations for UNHCR. Jahangir's tenure with UNHCR began in 2001, encompassing roles such as Senior Protection Officer and Senior Field Coordinator, overseeing operations in Punjab, Sindh, and Islamabad, as well as working in Darfur, Sudan, and as Legal Officer in Pakistan. Educational qualifications include an MA in Human Rights from the University of London, a Master of Science in Criminal Justice and Police Management from the University of Leicester, and an MA in Political Science from the University of Balochistan.
