Lisa van Hogerlinden

Lisa van Hogerlinden has extensive experience in donor relations and external communications within the humanitarian sector, currently serving as a Private Philanthropy Officer at UNHCR since December 2007, specializing in the Syria and Iraq situations, as well as having interim responsibilities for North Africa and GCC countries. Previous roles at UNHCR include Associate Reporting Officer focused on several Nordic countries and managing partnerships for Dutch-funded initiatives, and Senior External Relations Associate overseeing the external relations team for Northern Europe. Additional field experience encompasses missions to Burundi, Central African Republic, Rwanda, Sudan, and Tanzania. Prior to UNHCR, Lisa van Hogerlinden worked on an EU refugee integration project as a Project Manager and contributed to Amnesty International as a Refugee Coordinator. An entrepreneur in the fashion and apparel sector from 1997 to 2004 and a financial accountant at Skandia earlier in her career, Lisa holds postgraduate and bachelor's degrees in Development Studies and International Relations from the University of Gothenburg, as well as comprehensive training in ballet.
