Paul Absalon

Paul Absalon is a seasoned professional in the fields of conflict analysis, security risk management, and development cooperation, currently serving as a Senior Donor Relations Officer and Regional Senior Development Officer at UNHCR since April 2022. Absalon's prior experience includes roles as a Climate Security Consultant at UNDP, providing insights on climate change and conflict in the Liptako Gourma area, and as a Social Development and Security Consultant for The World Bank, advising on conflict analysis for national government projects. Additional consultancy work spans multiple organizations, including Expertise France and Innovations for Poverty Action, focusing on social dynamics and conflict patterns in various regions of West and Central Africa. Paul Absalon holds a master’s degree in International Cooperation, Humanitarian Action, and Development Politics from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne and a General Engineering degree from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Nancy.
