Shaista Kiran is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in protection and project management within the humanitarian sector. Currently serving as an Associate Protection Officer for UNHCR in Dohuk, Iraq, Shaista has demonstrated leadership in developing advocacy and legal interventions for refugees and internally displaced persons. Previous roles include Assistant Field Officer and Protection Associate at UNHCR, alongside serving as National Child Rights Coordinator for the Society for the Protection of the Rights of the Child, where skills in project planning and implementation were honed. Additional experience includes positions at Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung für die Freiheit and Baluchistan Educational and Development Society, where expertise in capacity development, strategic planning, and partnership building was further developed. Shaista holds a diploma in Project Management from Iqra University and a Master's degree in English Literature from Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University.
