Silvia di Gaetano

Silvia di Gaetano currently serves as the Registration & Identity Management Officer at UNHCR, leading a team of 34 staff and overseeing the registration and documentation of over 60,000 asylum seekers and refugees. Silvia has designed strategies to enhance data quality and has implemented significant registration initiatives across various locations. Previous experience includes roles at the International Refugee Rights Initiative, where extensive research on Myanmar's refugee conditions was conducted, and contributions to the United Nations ESCAP on social protection and disability issues. Silvia has also worked on human rights as a researcher and in migration and pension schemes for the Italian government. Educational qualifications include advanced studies in Human Rights, Refugee Law, and Conflict Management from prestigious institutions such as the University of Oxford and Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies.
