Britt Farestveit has a diverse work experience that spans over several decades. Britt began their career as an Adjunkt/Lærar at Moalen Kommune in August 1992 and worked there until December 1999. In January 1999, they established their own company called britt@net and operated as an Enkeltmannsforetak. In February 2000, they joined Uni Micro AS as a Grafisk formgiver, markedsfører, webdesigner, and UX-designer. Britt held this role until June 2019 when they transitioned to the position of User Experience Designer at the same company. Recently, in January 2022, Britt has been promoted to Head of UX at Uni Micro AS.

Britt Farestveit has a diverse education history with a focus on design and technology. In 1988, they obtained a degree in Adjunkt with a field of study in Norsk og Kunst og handverk from Western Norway University of Applied Sciences. In 2013, they attended the same university to study Kreativt webdesign. In 2014, they studied Digital fotografering at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences as well.

Britt later enrolled in CareerFoundry, where they completed the UI Design Bootcamp and Portfolio Development program from 2018 to 2019. In 2020 to 2021, they pursued the UX Design Program at CareerFoundry. In 2021, they briefly studied Voice User Interface Design at CareerFoundry.

In addition to their formal education, Britt has obtained various certifications. Britt received the UX writing certification from Netllife in October 2023. In July 2020, they completed the Figma for UX Design certification from LinkedIn. In November 2019, they acquired certifications in Creating Web Icons with SVG and Learning SVG from LinkedIn. In June 2019, they obtained certifications in Design Thinking: Understanding the Process and UX Foundations: Style Guides and Design Systems from LinkedIn as well.
