Farid Abushov

Farid Abushov has extensive experience in the banking sector, currently serving as Chairman of the Executive Board and CEO at Unibank since June 2019, and Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Azerbaijan Credit Bureau since January 2020. Previous roles include Advisor to the Executive Director at Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund and CEO at DemirBank from April 2007 to January 2018, where responsibilities encompassed general management, treasury, and risk management. Abushov has held various leadership positions involving strategic development, operational oversight, and relationship management with international financial institutions. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Economics from UCL and a BSc (Hons) in Economics from Royal Holloway, University of London.
