Yashar Karimov

Yashar Karimov currently serves as the Chief Retail Business Officer at Unibank/Leobank, a position held since April 2024. Prior to this role, Yashar was the Deputy Chairman of the Board and Chief Retail Sales Officer at Yelo Bank from December 2019 to March 2024. Additionally, Yashar worked as an Advisor to the CEO on Digital Transformation and Business Development at Bank Respublika OJSC for a brief period in late 2019. From February 2011 to September 2019, Yashar held multiple leadership positions at Expressbank, including Head of Retail Banking Department and Head of Business Development Department. Earlier career experience includes serving as Software Development Division Manager at both Expressbank and Bank of Azerbaijan from July 2004 to February 2011. Yashar holds a Master's degree in Marketing/Marketing Management and a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, both from Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC).
