Kimeshan Naidoo

Kimeshan Naidoo is currently working as the Chief Technology Officer at BX since January 2023. Prior to this, they were involved with Unibuddy since May 2016, where they served as a CTO & Co-Founder and later as the Board Member & Co-Founder. In these roles, Naidoo promoted a culture of psychological safety and radical candor, and they were responsible for creating the engineering function and developing various products. Kimeshan used a technical stack including Python, React, GraphQL, MongoDB, and AWS. In 2016, they briefly worked as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Entrepreneur First. Before that, Naidoo gained experience as a Project Engineer and Junior Engineer at SLB from 2013 to 2015. Kimeshan also served as the Chairperson of the United Nations Association of South Africa at the University of Cape Town from October 2011 to October 2012.

Kimeshan Naidoo obtained a Master's Degree in Computer Science from UCL, starting in 2015 and finishing in 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Cape Town, attending from 2009 to 2012.

In addition to their formal education, Kimeshan Naidoo has obtained several certifications. In March 2021, they completed the "User Strategy Development with Wardley Maps in Miro" course from Coursera. In July 2020, they obtained a certification in "Systems Thinking" from LinkedIn. In November 2017, they received a Scrum Certification for Web Developer from the International Scrum Institute™. In March 2015, they achieved the highest level (Level 5) certification for "Shaping Up With Angular JS" from Code School. Kimeshan also holds a certification as a Network Administrator from Schlumberger, obtained in October 2014. Lastly, they have completed the "ES2015: The Shape of JavaScript to Come" course from Code School, but the specific month and year of completion are not provided.
