Amy Shacklady's work experience begins in 2011 as a Student Ambassador at the University of Kent, a role they held until 2013. Following this, they worked as a Runner at Premier Public Relations from June 2013 to October 2013. Amy then joined Premier (London) as an Administrative Assistant in November 2013, transitioning to the role of TV Assistant Publicist in February 2014 and later becoming a Publicist in April 2015. At Premier, they worked on various corporate and consumer accounts, securing press coverage for shows such as Happy Valley, Ordinary Lies, Dickensian, Black Sails, UnREAL, and Downton Abbey. In 2015, Amy joined ITV as a Publicist and worked there until 2017. Afterward, they joined FremantleMedia UK as a Publicist from January 2017 to March 2018. Amy then worked at Cancer Research UK (CRUK) as a Senior Press Officer from March 2018 to July 2019, followed by a role as a PR Manager (Consumer Media) from July 2019 to October 2020. From October 2020 to April 2023, they worked at Samaritans as a Media Manager. Currently, they are the Public Relations Manager at UNICEF UK, starting in April 2023.

Amy Shacklady attended the University of Kent from 2010 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Drama and Film studies. Amy also participated in an exchange program at Indiana University Bloomington in 2012-2013, focusing on Drama and Film studies.
