Esther Shin's work experience begins in 2011 as a Student Volunteer at the Fowler Museum at UCLA, where they vetted archaeological collections and organized artifact catalogs. In 2013, they worked as a Development Assistant at the Japanese American National Museum, responsible for data entry and acknowledgment of contributions, as well as creating engaging content. Esther also served as a Marketing Intern at the museum during this time, handling press releases and producing articles for their blog. Additionally, they worked as a Curatorial Intern as part of the Getty Undergraduate Multicultural Internship Program, supporting the curatorial needs of three exhibitions.

In 2015, Esther joined UCLA Arts as an Administrative Specialist in External Affairs, where they enhanced operations, built relationships, and managed financial transactions. Esther then moved to Chapman University in 2016 as a Communications Coordinator, executing marketing communications strategies and organizing events to increase engagement and admissions quality.

Esther then worked at CHOC Children's from 2020 to 2022 as an Associate Director of Communications. In this role, they composed various internal and external communications, distilling complex information into compelling messages to support philanthropy efforts.

Currently, Esther works at UNICEF UK as a Marketing Portfolio Manager, where they manage the marketing portfolio, collaborates with colleagues to organize marketing campaigns, and oversees project delivery.

Throughout their work experience, Esther has demonstrated skills in communication, content creation, project management, and stakeholder engagement.

Esther Shin completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History and East Asian Languages and Cultures at UCLA in 2013. After that, in 2015, they attended the Museum Leadership Institute to study Arts Leadership. In 2021, they pursued a program at Cornell University focusing on Corporate Communication and PR Strategy. Moving forward, Esther Shin is currently enrolled in a Marketing Manager Level 6 Apprenticeship at the Professional Academy, which they started in 2023 and will complete in 2024.

In terms of certifications, Esther obtained the DSDM Agile Project Management - Foundation and Practitioner certification from APMG International in February 2023. Esther also obtained various certifications from LinkedIn, including "How to Have Fewer, Better Meetings" in April 2022, "Advanced Content Marketing," "Creating a Communications Strategy," "How to Tell Stories That Win Market Share," "Media Relations," "Public Relations Foundations" in October 2020, "Project Management for Creative Projects" in February 2020, "Organization Communication" in January 2020, and "Organizational Culture" in December 2019. Additionally, Esther completed the "Illustrator CC 2018 Essential Training" certification from LinkedIn in July 2019 and the "Learn Excel 2016: The Basics" certification from Lynda.com in July 2016.
