Cristina Bacalso

Cristina Bacalso is an experienced Youth Policy and Youth Development Researcher at UNICEF, where responsibilities include providing strategic advice on adolescent participation and youth policy development. In addition to this role, Cristina serves as an Associate at People Dialogue and Change, offering research and project management support related to youth participation. As an Independent Research Consultant since 2012, Cristina has worked on various projects for organizations like the Council of Europe and has previously held positions at UNICEF Office of Research - Innocenti and Youth Policy Labs. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Development Studies from the International Institute of Social Studies and a Master of Arts in Public Policy from Central European University. Cristina is also a co-founder of the Hague Interns Association, advocating for intern rights and paid internships. Experience includes volunteer roles with the Canadian Red Cross and an internship at the Environmental Protection Agency in the United States.
