Divya Sunkad

Divya Sunkad is currently a member of the Third Cohort of the LAS Global Leaders Program, where a diverse team is addressing global issues through human-centered design. At the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Divya engages as an undergraduate student and contributes as an education mentor in the Illinois Mentor Program, while also serving on the Fundraising Committee for UNICEF, successfully raising up to $5,000 through various campus events. Previous experiences include a summer internship at Kode With Klossy, where Divya developed a data visualization tool to highlight gaps in Computer Science education, and work with organizations like Girls Who Code and Asha Orphanage, focusing on programming and education initiatives. Divya holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics, expected in May 2026, from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
