Gautam Narasimhan

Gautam Narasimhan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in climate, energy, and environmental policy. Currently serving as the Global Lead for Climate, Energy, and Environment at UNICEF since April 2018, Gautam oversees the implementation of global programs and policies while leading a specialized team in New York. Prior roles include consultancy work for the Asian Development Bank, United Nations Environment Programme, and GiZ, providing government advice on energy and environment in Afghanistan and Georgia. Gautam's career also features significant positions at Langan Engineering, National Institute of Advanced Studies, Sattva Media, and Shell, where responsibilities spanned strategic management, project assessment, and financial analysis. Educational credentials include a Master's in Environmental Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MBA from INSEAD, and dual Bachelor's degrees in Chemical Engineering and Public Policy from Rice University.
