Rania Elessawi

Rania Elessawi currently serves as the Social and Behavior Change (SBC) Partnerships Manager and UNICEF SBC Think Tank Lead at UNICEF, overseeing strategic partnerships, resource mobilization, and program coherence since October 2018. Prior roles include Communication for Development/Social Behavior Change Specialist at UNICEF India, where Rania managed multi-sectoral programs across several states, and Program Management Specialist at UNICEF Liberia, focusing on social mobilization during the Ebola response. Rania's experience extends to various UNICEF positions in Afghanistan, as well as past consultancy roles involving WASH, education, and health initiatives. Rania holds a Master's degree in Political Science with a focus on International Development from The American University in Cairo and a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Psychology, and Public Health Policy from Rutgers University.
