Robert Kajoro is a seasoned finance and operations professional with extensive experience in international development and humanitarian sectors. Currently serving as a Programme Specialist in Quality Assurance at UNICEF since August 2016, Robert leads capacity building activities for national implementing partners, formulates and implements the HACT Assurance plan for effective fund utilization, and has also managed operations for UNICEF in the Middle East and North Africa. Prior to this role, Robert was the National Finance Officer at the United Nations World Food Programme, overseeing a substantial budget and ensuring internal controls. Earlier career roles include Associate Director for Operations at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation and Head of Finance and Grants at the Uganda Virus Research Institute, along with experience as Financial Controller at SOS Children’s Villages. Robert holds an MBA in Business Management from Uganda Martyrs University.
