Rosario Buendia

Rosario Buendia is an experienced finance professional currently serving as Treasurer and Deputy Director of Treasury & Structured Finance at UNICEF since September 2017. Responsibilities include managing global Treasury and Structured Finance activities, guiding banking and treasury operations, and enhancing UNICEF's programs through innovative finance and technology. Previously, Rosario worked at GE from 2010 to 2016 as Managing Director for Credit Risk Management, overseeing a $45 billion portfolio, and held leadership roles at S&P Global Ratings and Fitch Ratings during the 1990s and early 2000s, focusing on asset-backed securities and structured finance. Rosario holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School, an M.B.A. from The Wharton School, and dual Bachelor of Laws degrees from Universidad CEU San Pablo and Universitat Abat Oliba CEU.
