Terence Hamilton is an experienced advocacy specialist currently serving at UNICEF since November 2024. Prior to this role, Terence held various positions at UNICEF Canada, including Deputy Director of Domestic Policy & Programs and Policy & Advocacy Specialist from April 2019 to November 2024. Terence also worked as an Advocacy Specialist at UNICEF earlier in 2024, as well as a Child Rights Investigator at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from May 2016 to April 2019. Previous experience includes serving as a Senior Policy Analyst for the Ontario Ministry of Children and Youth Services and early childhood educator roles at PHORMS Bilingual School and Berlin Cosmopolitan School. Terence began the career as a Community Development Facilitator with Global Affairs Canada. Academically, Terence holds a Master of Arts in Health Policy & Equity from York University, a Bachelor of Arts in International Development Studies from the University of Guelph, and has completed graduate studies in Social Justice Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto.
