Ruth Layús is an experienced linguist and professor specializing in translation and intercultural communication. Currently serving as a professor at CESUGA and a Spotify Language Specialist at Vistatec, Ruth manages translation and review teams, ensuring high quality for Galician content. Ruth's expertise extends to Google as a Lead External Linguist, focusing on language quality for various products and services. Additionally, Ruth represents Google in the Unicode Common Locale Data Repository, helping to define localization standards for the Galician language. With a strong background in translation, legal texts, and language quality assurance, Ruth has contributed to numerous organizations since completing a Master's Degree in Translation and Interpreting from Universidade de Vigo.
