Eva Sommer is a highly experienced leader and innovator in the biotechnology and food sectors. As the CEO and Founder of Fermify since November 2021 and a Founder of Heartfood OÜ, Eva focuses on consulting and investment opportunities. Additionally, Eva serves as a strategic advisor for Unicorn Biotechnologies and co-founded Peace of Meat, where a successful exit was achieved. With a background that includes positions such as Biotechnologist leading the Food Division at SuperMeat and roles in scientific research and development at institutions like the Institute of Science and Technology Austria and the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Eva possesses a strong foundation in both practical and academic aspects of biotechnology. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology and Food Science from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences and partial completion of a Master of Science in Technical Chemistry at Technische Universität Wien.
