Mihaela Canciu has a diverse work experience in the banking industry. Mihaela started their career at National Bank Of Greece in 1997 as a Payments Officer. Mihaela then worked at BNP-Dresdner Bank Romania as a Payments Officer from April 1998 to December 1999. In 2000, they joined Egnatia Bank Romania as a Coordinator in the International Department. Mihaela then moved to UniCredit Bank Romania in 2003, where they worked as a Senior Associate in Trade Finance Products until September 2011. From October 2011 to January 2013, they held the position of Relationship Manager and Senior Associate in Trade Finance Sales. In 2013, they joined UniCredit Bank Austria AG as the Head of CEE GTB Academy in Global Transaction Banking CEE, holding the position until December 2016. Mihaela then returned to UniCredit Bank Romania as a Trade Finance Expert and Head of CEE GTB Academy in Global Transaction Banking CEE from February 2013 to December 2016. In April 2019, they took on the role of Trade Finance Expert and Vice President of GTB Business & Process Transformation at UniCredit.
Mihaela Canciu completed their Bachelor's degree with Specialization in International Transactions at the Academia de Studii Economice din Bucuresti from 1991 to 1996. Mihaela also obtained additional certifications such as Certified Trade Finance Professional from ICC Academy in October 2018 and Certified Documentary Credit Specialist with distinction from The London Institute of Banking & Finance in April 2008.
