Hisao Yamasaki

President, Unified Patents Asia at Unified Patents

Hisao Yamasaki is the current president of Unified Patents Asia and has over 24 years of experience in the field of intellectual property. Hisao began their career at Hitachi in 1995 and held various positions including general manager of IP Business Development & Licensing and general manager of IP Licensing at Hitachi Global Storage Technologies. In 2006, they founded RPX Asia Corporation and served as its president for two years. Hisao then became the president of Senlicas Limited in 2008 and held that position for 12 years. In 2012, they joined the faculty of intellectual property at Osaka Institute Of Technology as a professor. In 2013, they became the general manager of the Strategic Planning Office of Society-Academia Collaboration at Kyoto University. In 2015, they founded GenoConcierge Kyoto and served as its CEO for three years. In 2018, they joined LOT Network as vice president of licensing and held that position for three years. Hisao then became the president of Unified Patents Asia in 2019.

Hisao Yamasaki has a Bachelor of Laws from Doshisha University, an LL.M. from the University of Miami School of Law, and a Master from University College London, U. of London.
