Jonathan Stroud

Jonathan Stroud serves as General Counsel at Unified Patents since June 2015, overseeing corporate and legal operations, including patent reviews, appeals, and risk management. In addition, Jonathan has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at American University Washington College of Law since April 2016, teaching post-grant patent office proceedings. Previous experience includes roles as Chief Intellectual Property Counsel and Chief Patent Counsel at the same institution, and as a Patent Attorney at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP. Jonathan's earlier positions include law clerk, judicial intern, and patent examiner, alongside journalism internships. Jonathan holds a Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law, a Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University.
