Mathias Baert

Mathias Baert has extensive experience in the legal field, with a focus on IT and commercial contracts. Mathias is currently the Head of Legal and Compliance at Unifiedpost Group, where they have been since 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Legal Counsel at the same company. Before joining Unifiedpost Group, they held roles as a Legal Counsel and Attorney at Law at Lex-IT.be from 2015 to 2017. Mathias also worked as a Partner at theJurists Europe from 2018 to 2020. Earlier in their career, they served as an Interim Legal Counsel at Argenta and Capgemini. Mathias also worked at Avnet Europe Comm VA as a Legal Counsel - Contract Manager, where they were responsible for drafting and negotiating various IT service and distribution agreements. Mathias began their legal career as an attorney-at-law at QUESTA Advocaten, specializing in IT contracts. Mathias Baert completed their Master/Licenciaat degree in Law from Ghent University from 2004 to 2009. In 2009, they pursued further studies and obtained an LLM in Commercial Law from the University of Leicester. Mathias then went on to pursue a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with a focus on Business Law from Universiteit Antwerpen, which they completed in 2013.
