Miguel Tavares

Miguel Tavares has a diverse background in finance and M&A. Miguel started their career as a trainee at Millennium bcp, where they gained experience in credit analysis, financing, and customer relationship management. Miguel then worked at Deloitte as a Corporate Finance Senior Consultant, focusing on M&A and providing services such as enterprise valuations and strategic advisory. Miguel then joined Inter-Risco Private Equity as a Senior Associate, where they were involved in deal screening, structuring, and portfolio management, with a specialization in buy-and-build strategies. Currently, they are working as the Head of Finance at Unilabs, where they lead the finance department and previously served as a Senior M&A Manager, responsible for originating and executing M&A transactions in various geographies and business segments. Overall, Miguel Tavares has a strong background in M&A and finance, with experience in various industries and a focus on deal execution and integration.

Miguel Tavares obtained a PhD in Business and Management Studies with a specialization in Finance from the Universidade do Porto between 2009 and 2016. Prior to that, they completed a Licenciatura in Management at the same university from 2003 to 2007. Miguel also spent a year as an Erasmus Exchange Student at the University of Jyväskylä in 2005 and 2006, studying Business and Economics. Miguel completed their high school education at Colégio Luso-Francês from 1988 to 2002, focusing on Economics.
