Maryam Derkani

Maryam Derkani is a Product Science Research Manager at Unilever, leading teams in formulating and assessing innovative products in the Beauty & Wellbeing and Personal Care categories. Prior experience includes a Research Associate role at The University of Sheffield, focusing on "Green and Circular Cements," and a Research Scientist position at The Lubrizol Corporation, where novel formulations for sustainable alkali-activated cement were developed. Maryam's background also includes a summer internship at Procter & Gamble in R&D process design and instructional roles at the University of Strathclyde in thermodynamics and laboratory demonstrations. Maryam holds a Ph.D. in Chemical and Process Engineering and a Master's degree in Advanced Chemical and Process Engineering, both from the University of Strathclyde.
