Jiri Vainio is an experienced R&D professional specializing in molecular diagnostics and assay development. Currently serving as an R&D Project Manager at Uniogen since September 2020, Jiri Vainio coordinates and executes technical aspects of new RT-PCR assay kits for the GenomEra CDX platform in the Infectious Diseases unit. Prior to this role, Jiri Vainio worked at Abacus Diagnostica Oy as a Senior Project Scientist from June 2015 to September 2020, focusing on R&D activities, quality control, and future analytes, as well as serving as a Research Assistant on the GenomEra® Norovirus test. Jiri Vainio also gained experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Turku, contributing to the development of advanced assay technologies. Jiri Vainio holds a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology from the University of Turku, awarded in 2018.
