Rumesh Modarage

Rumesh Modarage is the CTO at Union Assurance. Rumesh has over 9 years of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining Union Assurance, they were the Senior Manager - Alternate Channel at Softlogic Life from June 2017 to December 2019. Rumesh was also the Manager-Life Operation(Reinsurance) at Softlogic Life from June 2015 to April 2017 and Assistant Manager-Life Operation from February 2011 to April 2015. Rumesh has also worked as an Assistant Accountant at the Institute Of Policy Studies Of Sri Lanka from November 2010 to January 2011. Rumesh is a graduate of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka where they obtained their degree in Business Administration.

Rumesh Modarage's educational career includes obtaining the FCII(UK) designation from the Chartered Insurance Institute, as well as the ACMA(UK) designation from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Rumesh also has a High School diploma from Ananda College. In addition, they hold the Chartered Insurer - ACII(UK) designation from the Chartered Insurance Institute and is a CGMA from the Chartered Global Management Accountant.

Their manager is Jude Gomes, CEO. Rumesh Modarage works with Jayaraman Muthukirshnan - Chief Actuarial Officer, Senath Jayatilake - CDO, and Nalin Subasinghe - CAO.
