Devani Konara

Devani Konara possesses extensive experience in human resources, currently serving as Chief Manager Human Resources at Union Bank of Colombo since January 2021, having previously held positions including Senior Manager and Manager in Recruitment & Resourcing. With a career at Union Bank of Colombo PLC that began in June 2009 as Manager of HR Service Delivery, Devani has developed expertise in HR Operations and Talent Management. Prior experience includes a role as Assistant Manager at Union Bank from April 2011 to April 2014 and as Junior Executive at Sampath Bank from July 1997 to July 2009. Devani's educational background includes a Professional Qualification in HRM from Cardiff Metropolitan University, training from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), and a Diploma in Counseling and Psychotherapy from the Institute of Mental Health, along with foundational education from Holy Family Convent - Bambalapitiya.
