Sonya Crosby

Sonya Crosby is an experienced ministry leader and higher education administrator. Currently serving as Associate Pastor at Union Church since February 2021, Sonya leads Central Groups and College initiatives while focusing on discipleship and leadership development. Prior to this role, Sonya held multiple positions at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, including Assistant Vice Provost and Director of Professional Programs, overseeing the administration of professional master's and graduate certificate programs. Additional experience includes roles at Zion Church as a volunteer leader, supporting various community outreach initiatives, and as Associate Director at UMBC Shady Grove, where strategic educational programs were developed. Sonya holds a PhD in Learning, Literacy, & Culture from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, along with multiple degrees and certifications from renowned institutions, including Harvard Graduate School of Education and Carlow University.
