Greta Donato

Greta Donato is the Director of Academic Planning & Finance at Union College. Greta has over 20 years of experience in corporate finance, project management, cost control, strategic planning, financial operations and leadership. Greta has been a leader of Global financial processes including forecasting of annual operating plan, working with government contracts, capital investments and multi-year projects. Greta has the ability to energize and inspire others to commit to and act. Greta's specialties include R&D, Strategic Planning, Budgeting, Financial Analysis, Revenue Recognition, and experience working with Government Contracts.

Greta started their career as a Financial Analyst at The Walt Disney Company in 1997. Greta then moved to Time Warner Cable Media Sales in 2003 as a Financial Analyst. In 2005, they joined GE Global Research as a Sr.Financial Analyst and took on additional responsibilities as Sr.FP&A Operations Manager in 2012. Greta left GE in 2017 to join Union College as the Director of Academic Planning & Finance.

Greta Donato earned their bachelor's degree in Business/Managerial Economics from SUNY Oneonta.

Greta Donato reports to Strom Thacker, VP of Academic Affairs & Dean for the Faculty. A direct report to Greta Donato is and Paul Tompkins - Supervisor of Engineering Machine Lab.
