Vann Harrell Mpa

Vann Harrell, MPA, serves as the Tax Administrator for Union County, NC since June 2004, overseeing the local ad valorem tax program and ensuring the fair administration of appraisal and assessment programs. As Division Director for the Revenue Division, Vann provides leadership for daily operations, manages a team of 15 employees, and is responsible for employee development, productivity monitoring, and departmental budget management. Vann's prior experience includes serving as Tax Collector for Martin County, where responsibilities included managing the tax office and overseeing delinquent collections, and as a Revenue Officer for the NC Department of Revenue. Vann is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Accounting at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and holds several relevant certifications from the UNC School of Government, along with an MPA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from Evangel University. Vann also officiates football for Metrolina Football since June 2010.
