Dayla Rich is a forensic chemist and educator with extensive experience in academic and professional settings. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at South Piedmont Community College, Dayla teaches courses in Trace Evidence and Forensic Chemistry. As a Forensic Chemist II at the Union County Sheriff's Office since April 2023, Dayla utilizes expertise developed during a prior role as a Chemist with the U.S. Department of Justice. Dayla's educational background includes a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of South Carolina and a BS in Forensic Chemistry from Loyola University New Orleans. Additionally, Dayla has held teaching roles, including Graduate Teaching Assistant and Instructor, and has contributed as a guest lecturer on Toxicology.
