Sam C. Lyon

Sam C. Lyon is the current President at Union Electric Steel. Prior to this, they served as Vice President and Group President - Performance Engineered Products at Carpenter Technology Corporation from October 2016 to February 2019. In this role, they led the Global Operations for the Pumps business of UCI-Fram with operations in China, Spain, Mexico and the US.

From March 2013 to October 2016, Sam was the Chief Operating Officer at Airtex/ASC Performance Pumps. In this role, they again led the Global Operations for the Pumps business of UCI-Fram with operations in China, Spain, Mexico and the US.

Prior to that, Sam was the Vice President, North East Manufacturing Operations at AFGlobal Corporation from July 2011 to March 2013. In this role, they led the operations for the Detroit, MI; Greenville, SC and Newport, NH sites.

Before that, Sam held the position of VP of Operations at Precision Castparts from October 2008 to July 2011. Prior to that, they were an Operations Manager at Alcoa from May 1991 to October 2008.

Sam C. Lyon has a bachelors in Metallurgical Engineering from University of Pittsburgh. Sam also has certificates of completion from the PCC Executive Management Program at University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business and the Alcoa Executive Leadership Program at Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
