Joel Emerman

Joel Emerman serves as the Senior Website Manager at the Union for Reform Judaism, a position held since September 2009, where responsibilities have expanded through multiple promotions. Emerman manages a platform of over 250 WordPress-based congregation websites, successfully overseeing the migration of 300 sites from Joomla! and increasing the number of active sites by 40% within the first year. Previous positions at URJ include Congregational Websites Manager, Web Producer, and Digital Media Assistant, with notable contributions in website design, content creation, and the production of digital communications. Prior experience includes roles as a Webmaster at Extra Wide Sock Company and various news production positions at Fox Chicago News, CLTV Tribune, and WWL-TV. Emerman holds a BA in Communications from The University of Kansas, obtained in 2003.
