Jeremy Martin started their work experience in 1991 as a Hardware Guy at Cozen O'Connor. Jeremy then worked at AMD from 1997 to 2007 as a Sr. Member of Technical Staff, where they were involved in materials and process development, process integration, manufacturing, and reliability. In 2008, they joined the Union of Concerned Scientists as the Director of Fuels Policy & Senior Scientist for the Clean Transportation Program. From 2008 to 2019, they served as a Traffic and Transportation Commissioner for the City of Rockville, where they advised the City Council and Planning Commission on traffic and transportation matters. In 2014, they became a member of the Pedestrian, Bicycle, and Traffic Safety Advisory Committee for Montgomery County. From 2015 to 2020, they were part of the Citizens Advisory Committee to the Transportation Planning Board at the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, promoting public involvement in transportation planning for the region.
Jeremy Martin received their Ph.D. in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering from Caltech in 1997. Prior to that, they obtained a B.A. in Chemistry/English Literature from Haverford College between 1986 and 1990. In 2007, they briefly studied Epidemiology at the John Hopkins School of Public Health, although no degree was mentioned.
