Ava Barekat

Ava Barekat is an experienced professional with a strong background in healthcare, data analysis, and education. Currently serving as a volunteer at Union Rescue Mission in Los Angeles since October 2021, Ava previously held the position of adjunct instructor at Southwestern Community College District from August 2018 to August 2021. Additional experience includes volunteering at the UCSD Pre-Dental Society and Free Dental Clinic Project, and working as a Tableau Data Analyst at ACCUMEN Inc. Ava's early career involved research assistance and internships focused on statistical analysis and data management at various institutions, including San Diego State University and the SDSU Research Foundation. Ava holds a DDS from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC and a Master’s Degree in Biostatistics from San Diego State University, complemented by a BS in Statistics from Shahid Beheshti University.
